Waffle is one of my favourite sprinters but he can be frustrating at the best of times. He clearly has a good win in him at some stage but his running style can work against him. Although there is a huge field here the massive track will hopefully help him find a path trough. He caught the eye last time out again as he has done a number of times, and ill have to select him a few times until he finally gets trough with an inevitable win. 16/1 with Boyles looks a bit of value considering he likes softer ground and is sure to be flying at the finish.

I’m also going to go with one at the other side of the draw in Valery Borzov. He got back to form somewhat last year with a couple of wins and is still reasonably well handicapped on his old form. He has the Visor back on today and likes softer ground. He looks a huge price at 70 on Betfair and well worth a min bet with a decent amount in his favour if he can leave a poor seasonal reappearance behind him.

Discourse left a very good impression on her second run last year, and looked an ideal candidate for this race. The fact the Frankie has deserted her has possibly made her a small bit of value. It can be hard to know with fillies from one run to the next and in a race with the favourite so short she looks the most likely of the remainder to be a star in the making. 13.5 on Betfair looks worth a small bet.

Sandusky has proven form of softer ground and of the two stable mates he looks the more likely to be suited by this test today. He is of a very enticing mark of 88 and although Frankie has again hopefully chosen wrong, this race has the look of one of the two unexposed Godolphin horses winning this on the way to better things. 8.4 on Betfair looks a small bit too big.
